Women are known as being great at communication, but getting men to open up is a special skill. The stars of a new animated video series Belinda and Peppino, help demonstrate to women and men alike the value of open communication. Peppino encourages men to share with the women in their lives, and Belinda’s ability to listen to and support Peppino sets a great example for women.

It’s not unusual for women to express frustration when their partners can’t seem to open up about their needs or insecurities. The animated Peppino series addresses this frustration in a novel way, designed to entertain while it helps couples overcome inhibitions. While most women are ready and willing to listen to their partners, communicating that willingness in a way that puts men at ease isn’t a simple matter—especially when it comes to matters of the heart or the bedroom.

Peppino and Belinda explore relationship issues together, giving viewers a window into the benefits of men and women sharing openly and honestly. Specifically, the two charming characters address issues regarding health and well-being in their love lives. It can be difficult for men to trust the women in their lives with insecurities or issues related to their own peppinos, but the characters in the My Peppino series show that it can, and should be part of any relationship.

The issues that Peppino and Belinda navigate together are issues every man and woman might deal with. Their story is one which appeals to men and women because they demonstrate how to cope with the awkwardness couples may encounter when trusting one another with their physical and emotional well-being. In relationships, women may assume men don’t wish to discuss the things that are bothering them, but this unwillingness may simply be shyness or discomfort. Because men are less likely to have a strong support network with which they can discuss “anything,” they may not know how to begin a conversation about sensitive matters. Peppino, however, shows men that it is okay to bring up these topics—and they aren’t alone in experiencing them. Women will identify with Belinda, who is ready to hear Peppino’s thoughts. They’ll also learn from her example: compassionate listening, a sweet humorous sensibility, and sensitivity will help put their partners at ease.

The new series promises to be a boon to couples everywhere. While the series focuses on solutions to issues involving men’s health and well-being, women will enjoy the sensitivity and realism viewers encounter in the interactions between Peppino and Belinda. They’ll also pick up useful information about health issues and insecurities their partners may not initially be comfortable discussing—allowing women the chance to gently start the conversation.
